Constable Edward Wright has worked in law enforcement for over 33 years. He worked for the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department prior to his election as the Constable of Precinct 4. Constable Wright has the experience and knowledge of both criminal and civil law to be an effective and compassionate leader.
ConstableWright law enforcement career started with the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department in 1989, where he started out as a detention office.
After attending and graduating from the police academy, he worked in various fields allowing him to gain the wealth of knowledge he possesses. He holds several certifications, and has won numerous civic and professional awards for his service to the community.
ConstableWright and his wife (Gwen) share six kids and live in Dallas County. He has been a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas for more than 30 years. He serves on the board of the Grand Prairie YMCA, and is a member of theLions Club. Constable Wright is also a member of the Justice of the Peace and Constable Association, Texas Association of Counties, and a number of other organizations.
